Did I mention I’m painting the laundry room, hallway, and bathroom this summer AND doing a bunch of projects for each space as well? A bit crazy ambitious, but I’m slowly getting stuff done! The painting is {with the exception of a few touch ups} is done {including cupboards, moldings and the door} in the laundry room, but I still have two projects left to complete before the full laundry room reveal. In the meantime, here’s one project that’s now hanging on the wall above the dryer:
This is a cheap and quick way to add a little interest to your laundry room!
I was Pinspired by Richella over at Imparting Grace and followed her fantastic tutorial, but basically all you need is:
- 1 large pack of clothes pins {$2 at Dollarama}
- 1 round mirror (Dollarama has them in packs of 3 for $2)
- 2 glass plates (1 large & 1 small) – $2.50 for both.
- silicone sealant (borrowed from my husbands toolbox)
All the materials cost me $6.50
The only thing I did differently from Richella’s tutorial was to use silicone sealant instead of hot glue to attach the plates together.
Isn’t it cute??
Can you see my daughter in the picture below?
The mirror is now hanging above the dryer, so you can admire yourself while folding (hee hee)!

Cute, cute, cute! Love the color too! Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!
This is a really fun idea. Great work!
WOW, I really love this project! As always you do a lot of fun creative things. thanks for sharing.
I love laundry room themed projects and this is perfect. Themed, but still totally trendy and very charming. Nice work!
Your mirror looks great! I’m so glad the tutorial worked well for you. I am sure you were smart to use silicone sealant instead of hot glue to attach the plates together–so far my has held up well, but if it comes apart I’’ll know how to fix it, thanks to you!
Honestly, I would never want to see myself while I’m folding clothes (I need a laundry attitude adjustment, I think!), but if I looked as cute as your daughter, I’d probably love looking in the mirror. Such a cute photo of her!
Thanks so much for linking to my blog. I appreciate it!
Thanks Richella! I originally used Gorilla glue, but the plates fell apart… so that’s when I tried the silicone. So far it’s working great!
LOL!!! About watching ourselves folding!!!
Beautiful mirror!!! You should soon have your house in a magazine!
You are getting so much accomplished! I have to paint a rocking chair but the heat is keeping me from it. Perhaps today!
Hugs!
Claudine! You flatter me! There’s NO WAY my house could be in a magazine… maybe one day.
Lets put THAT on our wish list!!!
Hugs,
Very pretty different. You have such good ideas.
