TGIF everyone!!!!

I picked up a large oval coffee table several weeks ago with the Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market in mind. I love french provincial furniture and have not seen an oval one like this before. Some of my inspiration for this one came from Pinterest {it seems MOST of my inspiration these days!!}…

Here’s a few from my Furniture Inspiration board that I love:

The Painted Hive

Classy Clutter

I have wanted to do a dark top and white skirt on a table for some time now, so I finally decided to give it a try with this one….

First I stripped the top and then stained it using Minwax in Dark Walnut. I also used a wood conditioner prior to staining just to be safe, but I don’t normally do this. I don’t really think it made much of a difference and probably wouldn’t use it again.

I used Rustoleum’s Heirloom white spray paint in satin for the skirt, distressed lightly and finished with a clear wax. I’m loving the contrast of the dark and light and am glad I decided not to paint the top. The wood is so gorgeous!!It’s a big sucker!! I just hope it fits in my booth at the market!!!
