I live in Vancouver, British Columbia with my husband, daughter (14) and son (11). I am a grade one/two teacher, and love my profession, but my other passions include fashion (visit me on Instagram @classroom.runway) and furniture painting (@54th_Ave_East). I love thrifting, furniture makeovers, diy projects and crafts. Over the years, I’ve come to love French Country & Farmhouse design and decor, and that definitely has an influence on the pieces that I paint and refinish. Many summers ago, I was inspired by a beat up vintage dresser I found in a back alley. I knew I could transform it into something great, and was inspired by my son’s love of everything to do with TRUCKS. As I was in the middle of this project, I realized how much I was enjoying myself… it had been a long time since I’d taken on anything like this, but in the past I have painted many, many things. I started looking on the internet for ideas for other projects, and was amazed at all the wonderful blogs out there showcasing diy projects, furniture redos and creative crafts. I really love a great thrift store find and the challenge of transforming pieces. I’m always learning, and hope you’ll join me!

Greetings from Northern Ontario where, at the moment, it is trying to snow. Ugh!!!!! I just finished a Craft Show and probably spent all that I made there on other people’s crafts, LOL Anyway, had a good day. I have to say that the curtains you just stencilled are absolutely fantabulous. I love them. They are gorgeous. You did a really good job. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Chris
