parons table with quatrefoil stencil, quatrefoil painted table, Quatrefoil stencil on table, quatrefoil stencil with chalk paint
I’ve had this IKEA parsons table for years.
Its been used for many things, but right now it’s being used in the kitchen for a computer table. The white finish was quite worn, so I decided to give it a little update.
I used the same chalk paint recipe and color that I used on these end tables. I removed the legs and painted the entire thing with two coats, except for the top, which I painted white.
Then I got my quatrefoil stencil (see how I made it here) that I’ve been dying to try out and stenciled the surface in grey. To finish it off I used minwax clear.Oh my gosh… please ignore the mangle of cords!!! Not to mention the mess of papers! Now I know what one of my upcoming projects for 2012 should be!!
I’m loving this pattern! I’m already wondering what to use it on next!

Oh it’s beautiful! I love the stencil pattern. I tried making one myself to use in the kitchen but the walls were too heavily textured that it bled like crazy. I totally want to make another one to use elsewhere.

It doesn’t even look like the same table, it really looks amazing. Stencils are great, and I love the pattern you choose. But I agree, put the CPU on the floor and look at your gorgeous creation. Thanks for sharing your creativeness over at Sunday’s Best!
Ugly Duckling said:
Thanks! I have now put the CPU on the floor!! It does look a whole lot better… the only reason I hadn’t done this is that I have a very busy toddler that loves to push buttons and stick things where they don’t belong. So far, so good though!!

Really pretty, but you should set your CPU on the floor not your desk top.
